busy weekend full of stuff.

busy busy weekend
transbay trip with friends. a pub crawl, in fact
we rode a ferry and cuddled up against cold. we went to lots of pretty outdoorsy or indoorsy places and i had champagne. we ate indian food. we laughed and laughed on the ferry ride back. one bar had twister.
we had balloons. we were home and in bed at a decent hour. but it was one long long day
oh and we looked at a house in rockridge, which is pretty much my dream place to live. we'll see if we get it. (rental, not to buy. yet. ).. if we do get it, our life is about to get uber chaotic.

today. oh today. today we had brunch at the ritz. it's not a cheap brunch, but there's a complimentary glass of champagne
and then the food stations. all you can eat. of mini waffles and omelet station and caviar and oysters and lobster claws and smoked fish galore (god do i love smoked fish) and fruit and bacon and eggs benedict and lobstery roll things and blintzes and tapas and lamb and sushi and and and and and.
we ate. and then ate. and then ate some more. til we were all roly poly and rolled down the hill in a group of ten. knocking tourists out of our way or gathering them up in our little katamari balls of fullness.

when we got home, our roundness required a nap. which stretched way further into the evening than we liked, and caused much consternation at how much of the day was suddenly gone.

cleaning was done, with great grumbling.

and now it's hot tub time.
