home at last

i slept til after 3 today. and even then it was nearly impossible to get up

being back in my own bed, with a 6'2 boy-o-warmth was wonderful even ifi did wake up at 3am and barely sleep after that.

the wedding i went to was officiated by my uncle and it was very touching and personal. apparently ms manners wrote an article lambasting the practice of having personal weddings... but i really love hearing people's personal vows
it was so humid and warm and green. and although i would have liked it 5 degrees cooler, it felt wonderful.
i miss warmth. and even more, i miss green.

this woman we met there said there are two kinds of people. green and blue
blue people want expansive land and to see the blue sky
and green people want the lush wet growing feeling of forests and ferns and earth that is constantly dying and growing. beautiful

i think i'll be able to sleep tonight.
