slower days are good

yesterday was just too darn busy. i didn't get a moment to write about my weekend or do anything but work
the weekend was nice. a quiet night friday.. errands and such on saturday followed by a halloweeny birthday party where monk and i won Best Couple Costume ..
we both had inflatable costumes. i was a big fat roly poly tourist (these things inflate huge-like and have little fans inside to ekep you a little cool and keep them big) and he was a big fat pumpkin
my shirt pocket said "pumpkin fucker" and *somebody* drew a penis on my crotch too. (we thought it was a Crassparty. turns out we were the only crass ones. his pumpkin had a little 'poke here' on the back. har har.
it was super fun to dance in our costumes, let me tell you. although we took up most of a room.
sunday we went on a nice hike in the sun and did more errands and i went shopping for groceries. i cooked pasta and used more csa vegetables.
last night i made blackened swordfish with avocado salsa . then i used up more csa apples in another apple crisp. followed by a 2 hour bath in which i read all of The Secret Life of Bees.
today has slowed down some. phew.
