i like kids

i'm going to napa this weekend for a good friend's hen weekend. or chick weekend. or ...what? bacholerette is so much easier.

we're going to sit in mud. warm hot mud that feels like aerated manure. you think i'm kidding, but it's true. aerated manure. but it doesnt' smell! then we'll have fancy dinner and the next day we'll taste wine. after wine. after wine. after wine. rarr.

i ran 3 miles today. i think i cut like 5 minutes off my normal time soomehow. i ran 3 miles yesterday too and walked 6 miles on saturday. i seem to be on a kick of some sort.

oh but before my run today, i went to 826 in a ballgown, with green hard plastic sunglasses, a stethoscope and a cowboy hat. ms. la quigg wore a tutu, stripey tights, and a pink (my pink) wig. a group of kids did word portraits of us. yes , they just had to describe us. but at one point they wanted to know our ages.. ms. la quigg: "I'm 103" little boy "i'm 174! i'm older than you!" then the little boy proceeded to explain how this is his AFTER afterlife. and how he and his friend glenn invented the universe. glenn invented socks and light. this boy invented shoes and darkness.
