full but fun weekend

what a full weekend
yesterday was ENGAGEMENTATION.
a friend of ours is our officiant for the wedding. He's getting deputized by teh state for one day and they revoke his magical marrying powers
what's so awesome is that he's really excited and really getting into it
and he put together Engagementation, which was a day of trials and challenges. The Trials of Wedding Preparedness, to be exact.
we got a scroll (with burned edges) inviting us to the wharf of the fish yesterday at noon. we were to come with pockets lined with gold (or , around $20) and compliment the facilitator often
basicaly we spent about four hours with J, walking around fishermans wharf. he'd open this book that he had created and had bound. with medievel pictures and a trial on each page.
it involved a lot of asking strangers qauestions or public singing at least once. but while i had to overcome some of my lifelong fear of imposing on strangers.. and shyness. It was tons of fun and silliness. (we mostly overcame our fear .. or rather my fear. monk has no fear.. by saying to people "hi can you help us out? we're sort of on a scavenger hunt except its put together by our officiant and he won't marry us if we don't pass!" everyone laughed. everyone was friendly. nobody turned us down)
at the end of the day we were sunned and wind blown and had an awesome time
we went home and rested and then went back out for a friends 30th birthday. also a blast. home around 2:30 (so late forme lately) and back up and BACK TO FISHERMANS WHARF! what, am i crazy? i never go to fishermans wharf and this weekend? twice!
yea so we met up with our photographer and had our 'engagement shoot' .. (wish we'd been able to coordinate engagementation & the photo shoot)
we had our photos taken on the beach, walking on pathways, in musee mecanique and in the arcade shooting zombies. very very us.

now i'm resting. full but fun!
