national everything

last night was a lovely dinner at which i totally stuffed my face piglike . for caryl's birthday.

pate, and pork chops and steaks and shrimp beignets and wine and port and ...aarrrgh hedonistic overload!!

caryl has a great group of friends that i'm pretty glad i met. and of course it's always funny to watch your friend smush her face into a bowl of mac n cheese for a smooch.

i went home tipsy and warm and goofy.

can't wait to drive to carmel. to be in carmel. to run in carmel.
