this is like the terminator except that...it has tofu hot dogs inside it.

in texas when a little lone cloud covers the sun, throngs of people, while happily yet hotly enjoying music, cheer clap and scream their appreciation.

music festivals in austin texas consist of ice kept on the inside of your cowboy hat, dripping down your neck and back. two pieces of cardboard glued to a large popsicle-like-stick that you wave at your face to produce a small wind. copious amounts of water and sun tan lotion. and cold cans of beer with water condensed at your side. you roll hte can of beer across your forehead. across your chest. then pop the top and swallow.

there were cowboys and hipsters and dorks and fratties. old and young. babies and grannies. and the music ranged from straight up country to bluegrass to accoustic to hip hop and rock and roll.

the food lines on the first day were 500 deep for a $8 fajita. the large cups of shaved ice with flavored syrup sold like hot cakes. ramonster and i shared an orange mango. she opening her mouth like a baby bird, for spoonfuls of flavored ice.

she fell asleep the first day around 2. with hair stuck to her forehead and fluttering temple. and her grandma took her home.

i was slayed by the heat the first day

and enjoyed it immensely the second day.

ended the day, after mr. adams, with negro modelo and fish enchiladas on an outdoor patio.

i have browned shoulders and freckles. brownish red on my chest and my cheeks got a little color.

i smell like heat and dust and sweat and guitar.

and a young media-pass girl took my camera for a bit and took pictures for me from "beyond" the barricade.

and now i think i need to wash the concert off, because i'm redolent with it.
