you loved me because i loved you

and i loved you because you loved me

and you loved me because i made you feel with a sharpness the small things, the in-between things, where for so long you'd been feeling only the extremes and the edges and the underbellies.

and i loved you for making me see the edges and the underbellies and the extremes .and for coming to the middle with me.

but in the middle with me, you missed the sharp corners and serrated edges of life, i think.

so i'm curled up like an egg yolk. right in the middle . with me.
