first off? rich moranis goes country
and i like it.

second? i was frazzled and tired and a little woundup grouchy when i left work
but i just had citrus cured salmon on little toast points (which i made) with creme fraiche & capers . and a glass of champagne
just befuckingcuz
and i feel much much better. i even just let loose a sigh of lovely contentment.

but in other much sadder news.. a friend's mother died this weekend. this friend has had a pretty shitty year and she's such a pricklysoft person, that i just want to reshape her reality somehow, to be less raw and hurtful. it's a very sad place she's in.. i am not sure what to do for her when she gets back.
