wherein i babble
i enjoyed my alone time today
i read the trashy novel i bought for Cara while she was on bed rest. it was... trashy!
i cleaned the living room, b athroom and kitchen .. complete with vacuum and mop and dusting. these things tend to get done less than the general washing of surfaces, etc.
and tonight i made pasta with a tomato, basil, cheese, zucchini and shiitaki sauce.

and for me a little champagne, since it was sitting there open in the fridge.
these are the days contentment are made of
there are so many different days. the wahoooo days, the grumpy days, the restless days, the friendship days, the hubba hubba sexy days and the contentment days. (and many more)
in some ways i think contentment days are my favorite.
kitty is asleep on my legs. boy is washing the dishes. and soon we'll watch a movie, with a fire in the fireplace.
see? contentment!
i like things when they are beautiful
sadly i'm very lazy and i let the beauty slack into slovenly.
oh, i've been sort of not mentioning that my wedding venue flooded. all 55 cabins wiped away. but apparently they have a big plan for refixing it all, even upgrading and we'll have info by a week from now as to whether it will be done in time (with a written guarantee, if so). if not, we get our deposit back and i already ahve about 10 back up places. so.. we'll be fine. our honeymoon however.. we haven't figured that out and damn it we have to book our flights, as we're using miles!
we almost changed from greece to switzerland, but decided to stop being so wishy washy and stick with a plan.
