 | click here for flickr! 2005-09-18 strange brilliant flowers one of them is a little girl around 4 years old (my mother, actually) standing amidst fireflies . she has butterfly wings. she's fat legged and staring straight at you. the night is soft blue around her (with yellow fireflies) and fades into a darker blue with white stars. i cut a hole in the canvas and stuck a near-round piece of sea glass in it. it's the moon. i poked holes in the fireflies. the frame will go back from the collage towards the wall so it can house a little light. my other collage is for our wall, once i put the frame on it. it is 3 cowgirls standing in leather fringe grass with a small moss bush and flower trees, a sherriffs badge star in the sky and a crescent moon. the sky is soft green. near the cowgirls says "strange brilliant flowers" and there is a transparent playing card. a queen. but i feel pretty good about them both. of course i have to saw the wood for the frame myself, so we'll see how ifeel when i'm done with that. all the boxes , barring maybe 2, are taken care of. cajun salmon was made. collaging was done. gardening was done. mowing was done. i have to put curtains up and take care of a few more things, but otehrwise i would have to say...we are moved in. and now? a bath.
