apricot wasabi chicken.. and a mexican bus

so monk really likes it when i write about our meals, so here i am
the other night i melted some apricot preserves, butter, white wine, honey & wasabi oil in a sauce pan and i then brushed it on chicken i was grilling.. basting every few minutes.
a side of steamed asparagus and shiitake rice pilaf.
but oh my god that chicken! really juicy.. really sweetspicy. really delicious.

and last night was a friend of monk's 30th birthday, so we rode around the city on the mexican party bus which was hell of a lot of fun. a bucket of beers, 30 fun people, a trip to the beach.. good stuff.

i'm feelin a tad bit sickly and am hoping that gets better in time for rollercoasters on friday...

buttered popcorn and hefeweizen is helping some.
