lightning

monk flew to santa monica with his sister tonight and will be home late.
so A and i went to dinner in rockridge. bubbley and yummy food and too much food and good talk
and then to her house where she played me the first song she has ever written and when she was done i burst into laughcrying. laughing because i was caught crying. and i think she might have been touched and liked that i was reacting like that, but she didnt' even realize how close i was to just sobbing. it was just so lovely and longing and sad and lonely and full of love too.
and then in teh car ride home, pretty quiet and Bright Eyes who i HATE but was loving and it was filling the car with more pretty and i stared at a bright light for awhile til my eyes hurt and then i blinked rapidly and saw lightning behind my eyelids.
