happy weekend
friday night we pretty much did nothing... i actually have no memory at all of what we did. i think we might have watched stupid tv, and lounged around and were super lazy. i think we ate chinese food.
i was wishing it was saturday because i had a 'surprise' trip to a town nearby and something monk wanted me to see/have/whatever
so when we woke up on saturday i had my coffee, we showered... and took a little drive ..
monk's surprise was a day of toodling around antique stores and collectible book stores. and me getting to pick out my xmas present(s) early, because he saw so many things i'd like (i have a thing for old toys and tin toys and strange items and clown things) and decided he wanted me to pick
so i came home with an old clown teapot that i think is the coolest, a clown tin toy that is old..it's a noisemaker, an old accordion/bellows camera that i need to learn how to use, and this snail toy that we both had as kids. i don't know how to describe it. you pull it on a string and it has springy things coming off its back with colored balls attached to them. nostalgia hit me hard and i had to have it.
he is perfect and knew me so darn well and exactly what would get me excited.
i also managed to find 3 people's xmas presents that day.
on our way home we picked up dance dance revolution for our new ps2 which we hadn't even set up yet even though we got it last week. (we got the eye toy too). took a 2 hour nap and woke up for leftovers and then a good solid hour or two of dance dance revolution
now. you must understand. i was skeptical about the whole DDR thing, but knew he wanted it real bad so i just nodded and figured i'd use it a little. but oh my god it's so much fun and i sweated like a maniac and i am so very sore today. so now we have the silliest most retardedly cool way to excercise. and good god, with the eye toy there are a few options that utilize your arms as well as your legs on the dance pad and i am not exaggerating when i say that we both looked full on stupid as hell. and it was hilariously fun.
we didn't get to bed (after a shower. damn did we sweat) til late late. thismorning was chores and shopping for groceries
and in the afternoon while he went to his old house to do some stuff for his new tenants, i stayed home and cooked. i made a baked pasta dish with spinach, asparagus, penne, cream, tomato sauce, mushrooms, olives, and 3 kinds ofo cheese. baked it up and stuck it in the fridge for later this week. and for dinner i made spinach and goat cheese stuffed chicken breasts, rice and a salad.
we would ddr again but actually i think we're both too sore. how cool is that?

and now it's bed time.
oh, i forgot. i did take a bath on friday and godzilla did become quite fascinated and curious and he did sit on the edge of the tub and he did bat at the water and he did fall in and he was out of there in one second flat and he was running around the house wet and bedraggled and it truly was one of the funniest things ever.
