cake

thanksgiving:
sierras, trees, turkey, food with white in it (creamed this, cheesey that), crackling fires, i didn't know so many sports events happened in one weekend, brunch, drive to the ridge to play in the snow, naps, fall colors and brown turning green, 3am noticing that snow is falling outside, waking to a winter wonderland of white and more white and still more white. kisses and covert cuddles and naughtyness on the sly, long drives, hot chai, realizations upon the realization that you've actually already had. that this is it. the whole shebang.
home to sick boy, pukey belly, forehead kisses and tea.
noticing that i've felt a little people overloaded with house guest followed by long weekend away. but it settles down.
baths and books and cravings of salad. oh how i want salad.
and ever getting closer and thinking those thoughts that used to make me shy. about futures and knots and buns. yea.
i just ate too much cake.
white cake, brown cake and pink cake.
