sleepy night

i am awake

and the boy is snoring

and the dog is under the covers with my feet resting on his side and he is breathing shallow because there's not a lot of air under there

and i am awake naked in a bed, with a snoring naked boy and a hot shallow breathing dog, and a laptop

i stroke the side of his face and magic... silence.

i hook a leg through his and he murmurs a little. the dog gets too hot and moves to the floor next to the bed, panting.

i think about how i might have to pee,but i'm liking the comfort of bed, the curl of legs, the stroke of a shoulder, the fur of a chest, kiss on a sleeping neck, and the glow of this laptop.
