middle of nowhere houses

i'm groggy as hell and a little sore and sunburned.

my crampy emotional upsy downsy lasted til saturday night, which i ended with Empire Strikes Back and ben & jerry's ice cream.

i didn't run, i'm not ready. at. all. for the half marathon and .. well i guess i'll have to walk part of it, adn that's ok

we'll train better for the one in late october.

we feel a litlte guilty and are occasionally hard on ourselves about this. and a good part of it has been my fault due to either crampiness or other ailments.

saturday i was anemic and weak feeling. drank red wine while watching political documentary with friends.

but sunday i felt pretty much better and we hiked into Bass Lake through the wild flowers and pine trees and other wildlife, and swam swam swam and lounged and ate near the edge of california. the ocean just on the other side of the hill

and i got a sunburn

and we wove through redwoods on our way home and saw the fog like a blanket over the city from our perch above ..

and we both have sun on our faces and i sure do like him a lot

and tomorrow is the amy birthday.

and god damn it i want to be in our new place now. i wish there were a new place.

i love the lake. and i love love love point reyes. i want to just build a house in the middle of nowhere out there.
