gorgeous day

it's gorgeous out today. like hot and sunny and windless

and it's so still. the cars seem to be quieter, the people walking down the street more subdued, there's a pause in the air and time is going to stop like a forklift into a pile of sawdust or it's going to leap forward like jumping off the second floor of the barn into the pile of hay below. whiplash be damned!
