scholastic book club

ok, if when you were a kid...the day your Scholastic Book Club books arrived was more exciting than Christmas, raise your hand and wave like you just dont' care.

because man,there was nothing better than Scholastic Book Club book day.

and being the daughter of an english teacher (and in fact, the student of mother english teacher for one year of honors 8th grade english) I was allowed to order like 10 or 15 shiny boxed up books and i would wait and wait and wait for months it seemed and then one day there they were. and oh the shiny newness of them.

anyway. crotchety ordered me books on amazon, and they arrived today. and i opened the box and it was like being transported back to middle school and scholastic book club days. shiny new and wrapped in plastic.

I think i'll have to order books more often, it's weirdly more satisfying than buying them in bookstores
