present time

so, i never did write the ending to my hawaii story.

my last day i wanted to go to my favorite place again...so, we drove to o'heo gulch and hiked back up to infinity pool. the water was higher this time, so we sat in the sun and swam for a few hours...admiring the view, then we saw these people swimming down thepool above it, which is practically in a cave...right behind the infinity pool the cliffs go up and then inward and create this dark creepy cavelike feel. the water looks black. we asked where they 'd come from and they said if you swam up 4 pools you'd come to a 400 foot waterfall and a secluded pool

so, hey..my last day...so we did it. it was scary to swim through the cavelike black deep deep pools. mom m aking references to the creature from the black lagoon. but the final pool was beautiful. also kind of dark and deep deep depths and cavelike sides...but sun on the waterfall and a little cave one could reach behind the falls if theywanted to brave it. we didn't. we're pansies.

anyway. it was a good way to end our outdoorsy trip. we went back to the house and i got a bit of a burn while laying on the lawn. then we went to the hana maui resort for pupu platters (i had a lot of fun saying poo poo platters as often as possible. hi i'm a grown up) and wine.

then. home the next morning. all done. bye hana. out for wine bar with the friends first night home... and the weekend with family..and here we are. at the present.
