days 4 and 5

day 4 and 5:

so yesterday we got up early again...but puttered around for awhile. went for a walk up in the hills and then walked in to red sand beach..where we parked ourselvesand didn't leave for the rest of the day. cold game hen sandwiches, mango, crackers, gatorade lunch.

and i had my snorkel gear so i just floated around in the perfect green lagoon and looked at purple/orange/teal blue fish. and yellow and black striped fish. angel fish and clown fish. and some fish that looked amazingly like a pipe cleaner.

we went to the hula show at the local 'resort' . the food was mediocre. my drink had an umbrella in it. but the hula was fabulous . i wasn't all fire and torches and drumsand pretty ladies with nice belly buttons.

it was the women and children and boys of hana. 80 year oldwomen. 4 year old girls. teenage boys. doing the real thing.

this morning we went on a run that petered out kind of fast as the morning heated up. and then there were no beaches and no hiking. we went from shop to shop to shop, just looking at local home made stuff and I bought the most beautiful blue pareo with sunset colored flowers.

tonight we went to the Movie Night in the Park. Families First.

it was the baseball field filled with local familes on lawn chairs. and the movie seemed to be hosted by the local mormon chapter and totally stunk but it was still a great experience. $6 for the movie and chili, corn and rice.

the chili had spam in it.

and when it started pouring. all the families just opened up their family sized umbrellas and waited it out. and they were right. it stopped raining in about 10 minutes.

only 3 days left. and a few hours friday morning . i am feeling the time go away. yergh!
