tahoe and boogie

murder burger! redrum burger! murder burger!

i ate an ostrich burger. i like ostrich.

tahoe was sunshiney bright. we walked to the lake and it was so clear and crystal and i wanted to jump in but i think that might have hurt if i had. i went snow shoeing. the snow was crunchy icy clean. snow and tall pines resonate memory inside me.

i learned mah jong and I want to have a mah jong club where we sit around the table bickering and gossiping like old ladies while our mah jong tiles clatter and clink against each other.

we drank mimosas and had eggs benedict. we made a huge dinner (i made all the sides while ms. caryl made the meat and boy were we good).

there wasn't anything like that shower from last year. but there was a hot tub and good food and champagne and people.

i got home late sunday night (after MURDER BURGER! MURDER BURGER! ok, can you tell i love murder burger?) and took a bath. boogie was happyto see me but seemed normal.

later that night boogie and i crawled into bed and he proceeded to shake/shiver/tremble uncontrollably. for hours. like 2 or 3 hours. he wouldn't stop shaking. he slept with his head on my pillow. totally mashed up against me. and shook. i cuddled and crooned and it seemd to sooth him.

i'm not sure what happened when i was gone. i know he has separation anxiety but i've left him before and he's been fine. hell, last summer i was gone for a week!

i got worried he was sick but there was nothing else going on. no vomiting or anything. just...shaking. it was awful. i felt awful. i held him til we fell asleep and felt just plain awful. i've gone away before. in fact just a month ago. i'm not sure i understand what happened.

i don't think anybody beats my dog when i'm gone! (har har)

and i like my friends. i read a lot. slept. ate. drank. walked. hiked. snow shoed. and it was warm and relaxing and pleasant and all around glowy goodness
